The session is for advocates interested in learning more about current efforts around state and federal policy on affordable housing and homelessness response. MCAH will provide updates around our statewide policy agenda - including funding for homeless services, funds for the Michigan Housing and Community Development Fund, source of income protections, and eviction protections - as well as updates on state and federal post-COVID legislation. Attendees will be equipped to go back into their communities with knowledge and resources for how to engage agency staff, volunteers, and individuals with lived experience in state and federal advocacy efforts.
